Amb Maikara is a skilled Public Administrator,with vast experience, in various capacities, in charge of security, National conflict resolution, Poverty eradication programmes, AIDS control units, Constitution Development Fund, Refugee matters, Parliamentary queries, Human Rights matters and International border issues among other responsibilities.

International Assignments

Participated in various International Meetings and Conferences, such as the Secretariat of African Development Bank, Focal points of the Inter-Governmental Authority and Development (IGAD), International peace conferences on Somalia and South Sudan, UN General Assembly, theExecutive Assembly of the African Union (AU) and TCAD among others.
