On 10 September 2024, Amb. Joyce Khasimwa M’Maitsi held a meeting with H.E. Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Angola. They discussed cooperation in tourism, including: capacity building, exchange visits and private sector collaboration on tour packages for both Kenyan and Angolan tourism destinations. Angola is keen to learn from the Kenyan experience in this sector. Amb. M’maitsi acknowledged Angola’s focus on tourism as priority for economic diversification. She affirmed Kenya’s willingness to cooperate with Angola to build this sector.
