UPDATES ON THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) FOR TRAVELERS TO KENYA
UPDATE ON THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) as of 22nd March 10.00 pm
- 8 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 15 with no reported deaths in Kenya.
- All international flights to Kenya suspended effective Wednesday, 25/03/2020 apart from cargo flights. All travelers into Kenya until Wednesday to undergo mandatory quarantine at a government facility at their own expense.
- All travelers into Kenya since 1st March 2020 must self-quarantine for 14 days. All persons who are on self-quarantine and violate quarantine measures are to be quarantined forcefully at their own expense.
- Mandatory screening has been instituted at all points of entry to minimize the risk of importation of COVID-19.

UPDATE ON THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) as of 22nd March 1.30pm
- There are seven (7) confirmed COVID-19 cases with no reported deaths.
- Since 13th March 2020 for thirty (30) days, the Government suspended travel for all persons coming into Kenya from any country with reported Coronavirus cases.
- Only Kenyan Citizens and any foreigners with valid residence permits will be allowed to come in and proceed on self-quarantine for 14 days or to a government-designated quarantine facility.
- All travelers into Kenya since 1st March 2020 must self-quarantine for 14 days and are expected to sign a legal document on the same.
- Mandatory screening has been instituted at all points of entry to minimize the risk of importation of COVID-19.
- All learning in all educational institutions is suspended.
- Avoid crowded places, observe social distancing and personal hygiene.
- The use of cashless transactions through mobile money or credit/debit cards is encouraged.
